Questions120 scored + 5 pretest
Time2 hours 30 minutes

Part 2 — Regulations35 questions
Passing70% on each part
The rule that fails people: you must hit 70% on each part separately.
There is no combined score. 95% on Part 1 with 68% on Part 2 fails the whole exam — and Part 2 is
only 35 questions, so you may miss ten. That is why the regulations chapters are the longest in
this book.

How to use this in five weeks
- Read in order. Chapters 1–2 build the vocabulary every later chapter assumes.
- Per chapter: read it → Learn the terms → take the chapter quiz → attempt the written
questions before revealing the answers.
- Spend your time by weight. Hedging and basis is 19 questions; spreading is 3. The sidebar
shows what each chapter is worth so you can allocate honestly.
- Regulations are 29% of the exam — the largest single block. Read Chapters 14–17 twice.
- Take full mock exams until you are consistently at 80%+ on both parts, then schedule.
The gap between 70 and 80 is your margin for exam-day nerves.
- Reproduce Appendix A from memory on blank paper. Anything shaky is your last study session.
